Here is an interesting
Link about Garry Kasparov's plans.

Back in December of 2002, this reporter had an opportunity to
ask Garry Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov a few questions. I had just
completed my boardside coverage for ChessFm of the Kasparov vs.
Karpov rapid match in New York City. Karpov had won the match
by a 2.5-1.5 score. I attended the the post match press conference. I had
the opportunity to ask the following question.
Hangin: "Garry you been a world champion for 15 years, you've
been the number one rated player for 20, how much longer can you stay at
the top?"
Garry Kasparov : "If I keep playing like this, not too long.
(JOKING) I don't know, maybe for a few more years. It's getting
tougher all the time."
I think Kasparov has been contemplating his retirement decision
for some time now.
