Sindarov, with black, has a tough game today against Fabiano Caruana, who has been having a poor tournament. Fabiano should be motivated to get revenge for his 4th round beating at the hands of Sindarov. Fabiano just might want to play the spoiler here. The other horse in this race is Anish Giri ,with white, who played a game against Audrey Esipenko. This is a critical game for Anish. A win here could allow him to tie the match with a win over Sidnarov in round 13.
Both Caruana and Giri had good positions with a lot of promise, but their opponents were able to equalize and draw the games. Missed opportunity for Giri who was playing the last place player. Sindarov still leads by a 1.5 point with 3 gams to go. We are nearing the homestretch.

After loss to Nakamuara. It was over. Not playing too well Preparation not good for the tournament, wrong approach Lucky at the start. Got some gifts. No one has a chance based on Sindarov's playing. Sindarov got momentum after beating Nakamura and Caruana
