Garry Kasparov gets back in the saddle again, for another mano a machine match up. This time it's X3D Fritz, the silicon beast who stunned World Champion Vladimir Kramnik by repelling his attack and drawing the match in Bahrain last year. Kasparov will play on a computerized 3D board. He will make his moves via Voice Recognition software. However he will not have access to the cntl-alt-delete sequence should he get into trouble. When Kasparov looks deeply into X3D Fritz who's face will appear across the 3d board ? Will it be his great predecessor and arch rival Anatoly Karpov ? or will it be Deep Blue, the Beast who tarnished his legacy, or possibly his great successor World Champion Vladimir Kramnik ?. The Key Match ups : Home field advantage, which could prove to be decisive, goes to X3D Fritz and its 3d board. Openings and preparation goes to Garry Kasparov, renowned for his deep match preparation and deadly opening arsenal. Keys to a Kasparov victory : 1) Kasparov quickly acclimating to the computerized interface 2) Kasparov maintaining a high sense of danger. Something that eluded him in game 3 loss to Deep Junior last February. 3) Kasparov needs to sit on his hands and avoid those natural moves, another costly mistake that prevented victory against Deep Junior in game 2. In a short 4 game match, If Garry "Luke Skywalker" Kasparov can use the Force and hit X3D Fritz's Imperial Ship's sweet spot, he can win the match. I expect Garry Kasparov to ride off to victory 2.5 - 1.5
