will take place on 11/11, 11/13, 11/16, 11/18 at the New York City Athletic Club on Central Park South - 1 Pm start time.

   The match was drawn 2-2

Garry Kasparov - is heading back to Moscow. His next series of books, My Great Predecessor part 2 can be ordered now. This book will cover Euwe, Botvinnik, Smyslov, Tal.  Garry was a student of the Botvinnik school. Garry played and defeated Smyslov in the 1983  final candidate match. Garry also played Tal. I am not sure if Garry met Euwe, who died in 1981.  I can't wait to get part 2.

Albert Vasse -   will be the arbiter for Kramnik's match against the German National Team, which includes Christopher Lutz,  Robert Hubner,  Rustem Dautov, Klaus Bischoff. The match will start in January2004. Kramnik has his hands full here. Lutz and Dautov are rated over 2600, Bischoff comes in at 2564, Hubner during the 70's, 80's and 90's, qualified 4 times as a candidate  for the World Chess Championships.  A good showing by Kramnik here might spur new interest in his World Championship match with Peter Leko.

Fritz team will play in the Computer World Chess Championships in Graz Austria. The matches will start 11/22/2003. Fritz will take on Deep Junior and Shredder and a number of other silicon monsters.
